An Interview with Marie Jarrell, the Mind Behind the BlackBox

Back in Fall 2014, I wrote a series of articles on aScreen Shot 2014-11-05 at 10.26.08 AM mysterious fixture that appeared on Clemson’s campus: a black box.

It sat near the library bridge- inert; cardboard; occasionally taking pictures of people and posting them to Twitter. Many people wondered: what was the BlackBox? Who was behind it? Why was it there?

Your questions will be answered. I met the graduate student behind the BlackBox, Marie Jarrell, and she had plenty of fascinating things to say about her project. WordPress doesn’t allow MP3 files for non-Premium users, so this is an audio recording on YouTube. Please enjoy this 20 minute interview with the mind behind one of my favorite things to happen on Clemson campus:
